So we’ve pushed back work on the EP a bit to wrap up two new songs that really didn’t fit in with that vein of music (none dare call it a concept, yet.)

These two songs are somewhat of an adventure for us, and we hope you enjoy them. We’ve got dates booked at Annex Studios (where Whisper Campaign was tracked and mixed) for April. We’re also getting ready to “borrow” some symphonic percussion from a local University…keep that to yourself…

So look for the single in May, we’re going to be releasing it digitally and on vinyl (10″ or 12″) along with some special deals with our European label, No Pride In Life. Exciting right?

In their end-of-2010 roundup, prog’s first couple have selected our debut album as the best release of 2010! What an honor! We should put them on the payroll…but then we’d want on the payroll too!

We recently noticed a surge in our online traffic. Curious about the cause, we set out to google our way to an answer. It was discovered over the next few days that the number of sites pirating Whisper Campaign was beginning an exponential (or perhaps factorial!) growth. In fact, you could probably find it right now (if you’re willing to risk getting a virus on your PC).

As a band, we’re honored. We’ve crossed a certain threshold. When someone goes to the effort of stealing your product, you know it was at least worth something to them. They did, after all, take the time (and perhaps even the small initial monetary investment) to make it available to the world. Further, we hope that it will add enormously to the number of listeners that get to hear what American Hollow has to offer.

As a bunch of guys who (just like you) struggle monthly to pay our bills and fund the recordings of our albums ourselves… we’d like to ask a favor:

If you like what you downloaded, when you get 9 or 10$, go buy a copy from americahollowband.com or iTunes or whatever your preferred vendor is. The money we make from this album (if we ever get to break even) will be plowed right back in to more recording time and possibly even touring. The more we can make, the faster and more we can make new music and get it out to the world.

Thanks for your continued support. The next time you consider a movie ticket, consider supporting a small up and coming band instead. It’s about the same money and if you like the music, the band gives you a much better return and long lasting return on that investment.

New EP in the works!

Hey Hollowheads! We’re very excited to say we’ve been working for a number of weeks on a very ambitious piece of music. As Dutch Mulligun stated earlier on facebook: “Think Bach and Jethro Tull meet Dream Theater and Mastodon.” Yeah, so we’re officially calling it an EP, but in reality it will probably be LP length. More details to come soon, but we’re hoping to have this recording and out for sale early next year.
